How did apartheid lead to discrimination and protest in South Africa?

I.  Discrimination and Protest
A. Apartheid - legal separation between races in South Africa
B.  White South Africans (Afrikaners) owned 60% of the resources and made up 15% of the population
C. Black South Africans owned 30% of the resources and made up 70% of the population
D. People in South Africa and around the world began to protest for change.
E.  Non-violent methods were used to protest problems and sometimes were met with violence
1. Sharpeville Massacre (1960) -  69 peaceful protestors were killed by police
2. Soweto Uprising (1976) - protest after Afrikaan was required in all schools (Afrikaan is the language spoken by White South Africans)
F.  Many Black South Africans had low paying jobs and were unable to have a good education.
