C.  Renaissance
1. The Roman Catholic Church was the accepted way in the world.  People were afraid of a bad afterlife and followed their rules and ideas. The Church was the accepted way.
2. People begin to challenge the church and its rules during the Renaissance.  The Renaissance is the challenged way.
